The All-Russia Festival of children and youth amateur theaters "The theatre vacation on Lake Baikal" will open on July 21- reports the press-service of the Ministry of Culture of Russian Federation. The event will gather 20 amateur theaters from Russia and Belarus on the island of Olkhon (Irkutsk region).

"The functions of our event are of enlightening, moral and educational nature. The motto of the 15-th festival is "Experience the theater of today, – says a leading specialist of Irkutsk Regional House of folk arts Valery Kiryunin. – The participants will study the theater of the beginning of XXI century – author performances by contemporary authors, the search for new means of expression".

The theater festival on the island of Olkhon will end up on July 31.
